This workshop was held in cooperation with Mansoura University in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the College of Medical and Health Technologies, with the aim of shedding light on modern applications of artificial intelligence in the medical field—particularly in the early detection of breast cancer, which remains one of the most critical health challenges worldwide. The workshop covered several key themes, including: An introduction to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and machine learning Applications of AI in analyzing medical images (such as mammograms) The role of smart algorithms in supporting medical decision-making and improving tumor diagnosis accuracy Case studies and recent research related to early breast cancer detection The workshop was conducted by a group of specialized lecturers in artificial intelligence and medical sciences. Under the generous patronage of Professor Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of al-mustaqbal University, and in cooperation with the Babil Governorate Diwan and the Sustainable Development Division at al-mustaqbal University, the first sustainable development course for members of the Governorate Diwan was launched today. The course was titled: "Developing the Capacities of Members of the Babil Governorate Diwan in the Field of Sustainable Development." The course was opened by Professor Muzaffar Al-Zuhairi, Scientific and Academic Supervisor, who emphasized the vital role played by the Continuing Education Center in supporting and developing the cadres of state institutions, particularly with regard to sustainable development issues, given their strategic importance in achieving a balance between economic growth and the preservation of environmental and social resources. In his lecture, Professor Khaled Al-Salihi, Head of the Sustainable Development Division, addressed the most important concepts and tools of sustainable development, highlighting their practical applications and how to integrate them into the work of state institutions to improve service delivery and achieve development goals.

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and in the presence of Professor Dr. Muzaffar Al-Zuhairi, Scientific and Academic Supervisor at the University Presidency, the University's Continuing Education Center launched the first day of the specialized training program in "Occupational Health and Safety." The program, in cooperation with the Babylon Electricity Department, targets a select group of engineering and technical personnel within the department. The event began with a speech by Professor Dr. Muzaffar Al-Zuhairi, in which he emphasized the importance of promoting a culture of safety and prevention in the workplace. He noted that specialized and qualitative training has become a fundamental pillar in reducing accident rates and improving performance and productivity, especially in vital sectors such as the electricity sector. Al-Zuhairi also emphasized the importance of integrating efforts between universities and state institutions, explaining that Al-Mustaqbal University places community service among its strategic priorities and that this course falls within the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). For her part, Dr. Reda Abdel-Ati El-Fishawy, Director of the Continuing Education Center, explained that the program aims to raise awareness of occupational health and safety concepts, empower participants to effectively manage risks, promote the proper use of personal protective equipment, and provide them with basic first aid and life support skills. This training program comes as part of Future University's efforts to strengthen its community partnerships and consolidate its pioneering role in serving local development and developing the capabilities of workers in vital sectors.

In support of Sustainable Development Goal 3, "Good Health and Well-being," and Goal 17, "Partnerships for the Goals," and under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Hassan Shaker Magdi, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Walaa Al-Falluji, the College of Medicine at Al-Mustaqbal University, in cooperation with the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, held an awareness workshop on foot-and-mouth disease. The workshop addressed several important topics, including the history of the disease, its causes, methods of transmission, and its most prominent symptoms. The workshop focused on the importance of early detection and prevention methods, in addition to discussing the latest methods of treatment and control of the disease in livestock. Several professors from the Department of Microbiology at the College of Medicine, Babylon, participated in the workshop (Assistant Professor Samara Abdul Hamid, Assistant Professor Dina Tariq Mazhar, Assistant Professor Diana Jalal Muhammad, Assistant Professor Murtada Khalil Ibrahim). They emphasized the need to raise community awareness, especially in agricultural and rural areas, to limit the spread of the disease.
